A huge ‘thank you’ to the dozen corporate volunteers who have helped Beacon Leeds and OWL Emergency Accommodation with their preparations for Christmas.
The volunteers who were lined up to help TLA by Community Interest Company (CIC), Employee Volunteering, painted three corridors at OWL Emergency Accommodation and also wrapped presents and wrote Christmas cards to be given to families supported by our Beacon Leeds service.
OWL Emergency Accommodation Scheme Manager Kerri Walker explained: “We’ve had brand new doors fitted to our client rooms but it caused a bit of damage to surrounding walls which needed making good again.
“We consulted with clients, chose the colours and the volunteers painted all three corridors.
“This was a massive help and contributed towards our environment making it all fresh again. The volunteers’ help and time is massively appreciated and we all had a lovely day.”
