TURNING Lives Around has published its first Impact Report demonstrating how we are making a real difference to vulnerable people experiencing homelessness in West Yorkshire.
The 24-page report was commissioned from independent research, evaluation and learning consultant Sarah Alden PhD who researched content across all TLA services and also looked into local and national issues.
Launched at TLA’s recent AGM, it gives an insight into the scale of homelessness, nationally and in West Yorkshire and what we are doing to combat urgent issues. It also showcases innovative ideas and projects, how we are influencing nationally and acknowledges our fantastic colleagues and current supporters.
“In a competitive and increasingly professionalised sector, an Impact Report allows our supporters to see the work behind the scenes, our challenges and successful outcomes. It also shows how important our partners and stakeholders are, and how we can tackle homelessness together in West Yorkshire,” explained TLA CEO Steve Hoey.
“It will enable us to reach a wider audience of supporters in an appealing way to show the difference we make. As TLA continues to grow, we want to be transparent, to measure our outcomes and drive practice improvements while communicating our message far and wide which will help attract and retain funding.”
This Impact Report is the first to be compiled for the charity as a whole in our 53-year history and a huge ‘thank you’ goes to colleagues Paul Belbin and Amanda Bennett who worked with Steve, Sarah Alden and North Sky Digital on pulling together the final document.
“We hope the report will inspire and engage new supporters and donors and start conversations with those who would like to become new partners,” added Steve.
