TURNING Lives Around has been allocated more than £4,000 from the Leeds Household Support Fund to help ease cost of living pressures for clients this winter.
Frontline colleagues can apply for grants on behalf of their clients to help with costs relating to:
TLA is one of a number of voluntary and community organisations across Leeds who have been given this funding in order to help vulnerable people in need who have a low income. The aim is to help with essential living costs to help people through the added expenses that come with the colder months.
At TLA we annually support more than 1200 vulnerable individuals and families who are either already homeless or at risk of homelessness. Clients of our Beacon Leeds, Carr Beck and Our Way Leeds services will all be eligible to apply for payments from the Leeds Household Support Fund allocation.
“We are delighted to have been allocated this funding,” said TLA’s Fundraising and Development Manager Paul Belbin. “Winter can be extremely difficult for our clients as they struggle to keep warm and feed themselves in the face of rising costs.
“This additional money will enable us to support those most in need and help make the winter months more manageable for them.”
