Paul Belbin

Fundraising and Development Manager

Paul Belbin has spent almost his entire career working in supported housing, starting as a Project Worker at a 24/7 Stonham scheme for ex-offenders in Blackburn in 1988.

He headed east in 1994 to manage Riverside’s homeless services initially in Wakefield and then in Leeds, North Yorkshire and the North East. He later moved to Foundation in 2004, where he became their first Operations Director; plus GIPSIL in 2011 where, as Head of Development, he played a vital role in establishing such city-wide partnerships and services as Engage Leeds, Flagship and Our Way Leeds.

Paul joined TLA in December 2020 and, in his development role, is responsible for shaping and progressing our services to enable as many vulnerable people as possible to live independent, fulfilling lives.

Away from work, Paul is very much involved in his local community as both a town councillor for Featherstone and a parish councillor for Sharlston. He also loves music, particularly rock music from the 60s and boasts a vast collection of CDs and vinyl records that are too many to count!
